My name is Lana Theron, and I am a Registered Counsellor with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. I am also a Clinical Hypnotherapist (SAMHA) and a certified BWRT® practitioner.

Each of my sessions is personalised to address the client’s unique needs and therapeutic goals. I adopt a solution-focused approach, ensuring that clients leave sessions feeling positive, empowered, and supported.

I am deeply passionate about psychology and hypnosis, with a particular focus on trauma interventions. My counselling experience spans a variety of settings, including schools, universities, and trauma centers, allowing me to work with diverse populations and presenting concerns.

I hold a BA in Counselling Psychology (Cum Laude) from the University of South Africa, followed by a four-year professional BPsych degree (Cum Laude). I also obtained a Master’s degree (MA) in Psychology from the University of Pretoria. My hypnosis training was completed through the South African Modern Hypnosis Academy.

In addition, I am a PhD Psychology student and early career researcher, with an academic and professional interest in sexual trauma prevention and parenting. I actively engage in continuous professional development, including training in family law mediation, Voice of the Child assessments, and BrainWorking Recursive Therapy® (BWRT) for both adults and children.

I believe that by taking a proactive and integrative approach, we can transform the way we think, feel, and behave, ultimately enhancing well-being and fostering meaningful personal growth.
